Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at GuestServices@PawPlaza.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Meals and treats are welcomed at daycare. Please label non-breakable container with full name and meal.

If your pup has food allergies, please send treats to use as positive rewards.

For first day, we accept a blanket from home to help ease anxiety.  Please do not send belongings after the first visit. Each pup is provided a blanket, water bowl and food bowl if applicable.

Fill up your pup's boarding room with the comforts of home. Beds, blankets, toys, chews, treats., and an item from their human's dirty laundry basket can help soothe anxiety. Please bring your pup's regular food. Changing food can upset the tummy; an upset tummy can add extra stress to the visit.

Try to have your pup attend daycare a few times before boarding. Daycare helps pups acclimate to the facility, staff, dogs, and our routine. After a few days of daycare, a boarding stay just seems like a long day of daycare.

Please try to drop off your pup as early in the day as possible. A full day of play tires out everyone and ensures a good, stress free, night of rest.

Up-to-date Vaccination & License records are required to attend Paw Plaza, which should include:

  • Bordetella (Kennel Cough)
  • Distemper
  • Rabies Certificate
  • Dog License

While we do allow intact males and females:

  • We do not allow females to attend that are actively in heat
  • It is our recommendation that of age males be neutered, as this may modify behaviors that could result in challenges

Paw Plaza Specializes in "Play-Care"

Dogs that attend Paw Plaza are required to be part of playgroups with at least 5+ other dogs. Paw Plaza will not accommodate dogs that must remain as or be single.

Paw Plaza reserves the right to disqualify any dog from Daycare & Boarding for reasons noted, but not limited to the examples provided (see termination section of contract for additional information):

  • Caused injury to staff member(s)
  • Caused injury to another dog(s)
  • Damage to property
  • Unable to be safely contained in:
    • Relaxation stall
    • Boarding room
    • Indoor area enclosed by doors
    • Outdoor area enclosed by a 6' fence

Three Strike Rule:

Paw Plaza employs a three-strike rule for all attendees. This rule allows for three incidents to occur prior to disqualification from Paw Plaza services. Dependent on the severity of the strike(s), Paw Plaza reserves the right to disqualify at either one or two strikes.

  • Paw Plaza utilizes dishwashers that heat water with their own independent heating element to clean bowls. The dishwashers are also set to the sanitize setting while in use.
  • All food bowls are cleaned and sanitized between each use. Water bowls used in relaxation stalls are cleaned and sanitized daily. Water bowls in boarding suites are changed out to a cleaned and sanitized bowl between each guests arrival and departure.

  • Paw Plaza employs a Veterinary grade disinfectant to clean areas where dogs reside and/or congregate.  This particular solution is “Rescue”:  https://www.rescuedisinfectants.com/products/rescue-concentrate
  • Our facility is sanitized daily in the evenings and our lobby twice a day, in the afternoon and in the evening. Boarding suites are stripped, cleaned and sanitized between each arrival and departure of all boarding guests.
